Gapfill is an embedded Shopify admin app. It scans product variants and product images, previews empty SKUs and empty image alts, and writes only blanks the merchant confirms. Existing SKUs and alts are never overwritten.
After OAuth, Gapfill uses Shopify Admin GraphQL with scopes write_products and write_files only. That includes product titles, handles, vendors, variant SKUs, and image alt text needed to fill blanks. Gapfill does not request customer, order, checkout, or payment data. We do not use protected customer data.
We store the shop domain, offline access and refresh tokens, fill counts for the free plan, and Shopify subscription id/status. We do not store customer personal information. Metrics, if enabled, store hashed shop identifiers and event names only.
Shop data is used only to scan empty fields, apply confirmed empty fills, enforce the free-plan cap, and check Shopify Billing status. We do not sell merchant data. We do not transfer merchant catalog data to advertising or analytics third parties. Hosting providers process the app over HTTPS.
On app/uninstalled, tokens are deleted and the shop is marked uninstalled. On shop/redact, the shop record is deleted. customers/data_request and customers/redact return success with no customer data held. Merchants can also email t.i.0607.g@gmail.com to request deletion.
